Founded in 2006 by local hot rod and muscle car enthusiasts, the Airdrie Time Travellers Car Club has been an active force in the local car community. Since their inception, they have annually organised fundraising car shows to support various causes, including the Airdrie Food Bank, Veterans Food Bank, Airdrie Hospice and the Iron Horse Train Park.

Despite the intermittent rain throughout the morning, the weather did not dampen the spirits of the attendees in the slightest. Nearly 300 automobiles still attended, with owners working hard to keep cleaning off the droplets each time a downpour concluded. Even the nearby parking lots were speckled with classics and modern vehicles alike, creating miniature shows near the official event.

In addition to the impressive collection of specialty automobiles on display, the event featured a lively band playing classic tunes from the 20th Century, setting the stage for attendees to dance and sway together. Complementing the live music were delectable food trucks and a select group of vendors offering their art and custom automotive apparel, providing enthusiasts with a variety of indulgences.
