Blog: Square Body Chevy C10 Silverado

This 1986 Short Box Chevy C10 Silverado is being offered by a seller in Parkland County, AB for $14,500 with 210,000 kms on the odometer. This 2 door square body has been repainted in two-tone grey and has a red velour interior. The seller is looking for cash or to trade with a Harley, side-by-side, dual sport, or to do a partial trade for a fuel injected electric-start dirt bike.

These third generation “Rounded Line” Chevy trucks were the first to be designed with computers and under the scrutiny of wind-tunnel testing, which allowed the American manufacturer to improve their fuel economy and design the subtle contours of these time-tested pickups for lower drag.

Silverado is the top trim line for third gen Chevrolet C/K trucks. This example has a red velour cloth bench seat and maroon dash and door panels. The original GM two-spoke steering wheel fronts a curved analog gauge cluster and a three-on-the-tree shifter.

This square body Chev has a small block 350 ci (5.7-liter) V8 sending power to the rear wheels via a 3-speed manual transmission. It has been equipped with a mild performance camshaft, a B&M TH700R4 torque converter, and an Eaton Posi limited-slip differential.
